Terms of Service

Effective date: October 18, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of narric.com, related public-facing websites and services that link to these Terms, and applicable services operated by Narric (“Narric,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), collectively referred to as the “Service.”

Narric operates an autonomous publishing network consisting of independently branded digital publishers supported by a shared editorial and publishing infrastructure.

These Terms describe the conditions applicable to use of the Service. Where your agreement is required, the Terms become binding when you validly accept them, subject to applicable law. If you do not agree, you should not use the Service. Merely visiting a publicly accessible page does not waive any rights you have under applicable law.

1. About Narric

Narric builds and operates a network of independent digital publishers powered by an autonomous editorial engine.

Our technology supports the discovery, evaluation, curation, research, creation, and publication of digital content.

Each publisher within the Narric network may operate under its own brand, editorial identity, subject matter, and website.

Individual publisher websites may provide additional terms relating to their content, features, advertising, or services. Where publisher-specific terms apply and conflict with these Terms, the more specific terms govern the relevant publisher website or feature.

A distinct publisher brand does not necessarily represent a separate legal entity.

Narric is not offered to the public as a self-service publishing platform unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. Access and eligibility

You may browse publicly available content on narric.com without creating an account.

Certain administrative systems and internal publishing services are restricted to authorized personnel.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to act on its behalf.

Visitors who are minors should use the Service with appropriate parental or guardian supervision where required by law.

Children must not submit personal information without any parental or legal guardian consent required under applicable law.

3. Authorized accounts and administrative access

Narric may provide restricted administrative interfaces for managing publishers, editorial workflows, content, infrastructure, and related operations.

These systems are not intended for general public access.

Authorized users are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of their authentication credentials
  • Using only accounts and permissions assigned to them
  • Providing accurate account information where required
  • Protecting their accounts from unauthorized access
  • Notifying Narric promptly of suspected security incidents
  • Complying with applicable access restrictions and security requirements

You must not:

  • Access administrative systems without authorization
  • Share credentials with unauthorized individuals
  • Impersonate another user or administrator
  • Attempt to elevate privileges or bypass access controls
  • Use automated methods to obtain unauthorized access
  • Continue accessing restricted systems after authorization has been withdrawn

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate administrative access when reasonably necessary for security, operational integrity, contractual compliance, or legal obligations.

4. Permitted use

You may access and use publicly available portions of the Service for lawful personal, informational, educational, research, and other reasonable purposes consistent with these Terms.

You may:

  • View publicly accessible pages
  • Use ordinary browser functionality
  • Share links to publicly available content
  • Reference Narric and its publishers accurately
  • Quote limited portions of content where permitted by applicable law
  • Contact us regarding our services, published material, or legal matters

These permissions do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property or grant rights beyond those expressly provided or permitted by law.

5. Prohibited activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, harmful, or abusive purposes
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, servers, databases, or private information
  • Interfere with the security, availability, performance, or operation of the Service
  • Circumvent access controls, rate limits, robots directives, or other technical restrictions
  • Introduce malware, malicious code, automated attacks, or harmful requests
  • Scrape, crawl, download, reproduce, or redistribute substantial portions of protected Narric content without authorization or another lawful basis
  • Use automated systems in a manner that places an unreasonable burden on our infrastructure
  • Copy or commercially exploit protected articles, databases, website designs, or other materials without permission or another applicable legal right
  • Use protected Narric content to train, develop, or improve artificial intelligence or machine-learning systems without authorization, except where permitted by applicable law
  • Misrepresent the authorship, origin, accuracy, or affiliation of Narric content
  • Impersonate Narric, its publishers, personnel, or representatives
  • Collect personal information about other individuals without an appropriate legal basis
  • Harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, impersonate, or harm another person
  • Promote spam, scams, malicious links, unauthorized advertising, or deceptive commercial activities
  • Use Narric's branding or identity to falsely suggest sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation
  • Assist another person in violating these Terms

Nothing in this section restricts rights that cannot lawfully be restricted, including applicable copyright exceptions and other mandatory legal protections.

We may use technical and organizational measures to detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to misuse.

6. Publishers within the Narric network

Narric operates, and may add, independently branded publishers supported by shared editorial and technological infrastructure.

Each publisher may have its own:

  • Brand name and visual identity
  • Website and domain name
  • Editorial strategy and subject matter
  • Content sources and research priorities
  • Editorial voice and publishing standards
  • Audience-facing features
  • Advertising and analytics practices
  • Privacy policy and additional terms

Publisher websites may contain content, advertisements, embedded media, links, and other features that are not present on narric.com.

The existence of a publisher within the Narric network does not mean that every website uses identical technologies, collects the same information, or follows the same editorial processes.

Information regarding the specific practices of a publisher may be provided on its own website.

Unless otherwise indicated, inquiries regarding publishers operated within the Narric network may be directed to Narric.

7. Autonomous editorial operations

Narric uses automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to support or perform editorial activities.

Depending on the publisher and workflow configuration, these activities may include:

  • Discovering content from websites and online platforms
  • Evaluating relevance, quality, and editorial potential
  • Researching publicly accessible information
  • Identifying sources and supporting context
  • Preparing summaries and editorial materials
  • Generating and revising articles
  • Preparing supporting images and media
  • Scheduling and publishing content
  • Monitoring developments and preparing updates

These processes may operate autonomously or involve human review and approval.

The use of automated technologies does not guarantee that every published article is accurate, complete, current, or free from errors.

Automated systems may produce incorrect interpretations, incomplete summaries, inaccurate statements, or other unintended results.

Narric may review, correct, revise, restrict, or remove content when appropriate.

We do not guarantee that every article has been reviewed manually before publication.

8. Editorial independence and discretion

Narric and its publishers determine their own editorial priorities, content strategies, selection criteria, and publishing decisions.

We reserve the right, subject to applicable law, to:

  • Select or decline potential editorial subjects
  • Determine which material is suitable for publication
  • Research and develop editorial coverage
  • Edit, update, correct, or remove published content
  • Determine article titles, formatting, presentation, and categorization
  • Publish follow-up coverage or updates
  • Discontinue coverage of a subject
  • Restrict or remove material raising legal, privacy, safety, or editorial concerns

The appearance of a person, organization, product, or service in editorial content does not necessarily imply endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation, or approval.

We are not obligated to cover any particular event, topic, individual, organization, or submission.

Editorial decisions may be supported by automated evaluation and processing.

9. Third-party sources and content

Narric's editorial activities may involve content and information originating from third-party websites, social platforms, video platforms, online communities, public records, and other sources.

Such material may include:

  • Public posts and comments
  • Videos and images
  • Public statements
  • News and informational content
  • Publicly accessible profile information
  • Descriptions, metadata, and source references
  • Other materials relevant to editorial research

Third-party content remains subject to the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contractual, and other rights of its respective owners or rights holders.

Public accessibility does not automatically mean material is free of legal restrictions.

Narric may reference, summarize, quote, link to, embed, or otherwise use third-party material where authorized or permitted by applicable law.

Any applicable permissions, attribution obligations, platform requirements, or other legal restrictions remain relevant.

We do not control the availability, accuracy, completeness, legality, or continuing accessibility of independent third-party sources.

Source material may be changed, deleted, restricted, or made unavailable without notice.

The inclusion of a source, quotation, reference, or link does not necessarily imply an endorsement of the source or its views.

10. Accuracy and reliability of information

Narric and its publishers provide editorial and informational content for general informational purposes.

Although we aim to produce useful, relevant, and reliable content, information may be:

  • Inaccurate
  • Incomplete
  • Outdated
  • Misinterpreted
  • Based on limited available sources
  • Affected by errors in third-party information
  • Affected by limitations of automated processing

Information may change after publication.

We do not guarantee that every statement, description, quotation, summary, interpretation, or conclusion is accurate or complete.

Content should not be treated as a substitute for independent verification when accuracy is particularly important.

Where content concerns legal, financial, medical, safety, or other specialized matters, it is intended for general information unless expressly stated otherwise.

You should consult an appropriately qualified professional or authoritative source before making decisions requiring specialized advice.

Your use of and reliance on published information are at your own risk, subject to rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Intellectual property

Except for third-party content, materials under applicable third-party licences, and other content expressly identified as belonging to others, original materials created by or for Narric are owned by or licensed to Narric to the extent that applicable intellectual property rights exist. Some materials, including certain AI-generated elements, may not qualify for copyright protection in every jurisdiction.

These may include:

  • Brand names and trademarks
  • Logos and visual identities
  • Original articles and editorial materials
  • Website designs and layouts
  • Graphics and illustrations
  • Software and interfaces
  • Editorial systems and related technologies
  • Databases and compilations
  • Documentation and other original materials

The protected elements of Narric's websites and services remain subject to applicable intellectual property laws.

The presence of material on a publicly accessible website does not grant unrestricted permission to reproduce or commercially exploit that material.

No ownership rights are transferred to you through your access to the Service.

Nothing in these Terms claims ownership over third-party material solely because Narric has discovered, researched, referenced, or discussed it.

12. Limited licence to access content

Subject to these Terms, Narric grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to access and use the publicly available Service for its intended purposes.

You may view content, use ordinary browser functionality, and share links to publicly accessible pages.

You may also use content to the extent permitted by applicable law, including applicable copyright exceptions.

Except where authorized or legally permitted, you may not:

  • Reproduce or republish substantial portions of protected content
  • Commercially redistribute protected articles or media
  • Sell or license protected Narric materials
  • Create unauthorized commercial derivative works
  • Misrepresent ownership or authorship
  • Remove or falsify copyright or attribution notices
  • Use Narric's trademarks or branding in a misleading manner

This licence does not override any rights or permissions granted directly by third-party rights holders or applicable open-content licences.

13. Communications, feedback, and submissions

You may contact Narric regarding general inquiries, feedback, editorial suggestions, corrections, potential subjects, or other matters.

You are responsible for ensuring that information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have any rights or permissions necessary to provide it.

You must not knowingly submit:

  • False or misleading information
  • Material that infringes another person's rights
  • Private or confidential information that you are not authorized to disclose
  • Unnecessary sensitive personal information
  • Defamatory, threatening, harassing, or unlawful content
  • Malware, malicious links, or spam
  • Fraudulent or abusive requests

By submitting original material to Narric for editorial consideration, you grant Narric a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to receive, store, reproduce, review, analyze, and process that material for the purpose of evaluating your submission, responding to your inquiry, and conducting related editorial activities.

Submission for editorial consideration alone does not grant Narric a general right to publish your original photographs, videos, or other protected creative works. If Narric wishes to reproduce or publish such material beyond what is otherwise permitted by law, we may seek an additional licence, permission, or agreement specifying the permitted uses.

You retain ownership of original material to the extent you hold such rights.

You must not submit third-party material for publication unless you have the necessary authority or the intended use is otherwise legally permitted.

Submitting information does not guarantee that Narric will review, respond to, accept, publish, or retain it.

Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, submitting material does not create an entitlement to payment or publication. Attribution and any other rights remain governed by applicable law and any agreement with the relevant rights holder.

Do not send confidential information or unpublished proprietary material through a general contact channel unless appropriate confidentiality arrangements have been established.

Personal information included in submissions is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

14. Editorial corrections and content complaints

We recognize that published material may occasionally contain errors or raise legitimate concerns.

If you believe content published by Narric or one of its publishers is inaccurate, misleading, outdated, improperly attributed, or otherwise problematic, you may contact us.

Please include:

  • The URL of the relevant article or page
  • A description of the concern
  • The specific information you believe should be reviewed
  • Supporting information, where available
  • Your requested correction or action

We may investigate the matter and, where appropriate, correct, update, clarify, restrict, or remove content.

We may also retain editorial records necessary for accuracy, accountability, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or other legitimate purposes.

Submitting a complaint does not guarantee that content will be removed or modified.

Requests will be considered in accordance with applicable law, relevant rights, and editorial considerations.

For editorial corrections and general content inquiries, contact [email protected].

For privacy-related concerns, contact [email protected].

15. Copyright and rights complaints

If you believe content published through Narric or a publisher in its network infringes your copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights, contact us at [email protected].

Your notice should include:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Identification of the protected work or legal right
  • The URL or location of the disputed content
  • A description of the alleged infringement
  • An explanation of your relationship to the protected material or right
  • Supporting information demonstrating ownership or authorization, where applicable
  • A statement that the information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge

We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to investigate a complaint.

Where appropriate, we may temporarily restrict access to disputed material while conducting a review.

We may correct, remove, restrict, or otherwise address content when required by law or justified by the circumstances.

Submitting a false, misleading, abusive, or fraudulent complaint may result in appropriate action, subject to applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies available under applicable intellectual property, privacy, or other laws.

16. Third-party websites, links, and embedded media

Narric and its publishers may link to or incorporate content from third-party websites and services.

These may include:

  • Video and social-media platforms
  • News and informational websites
  • Image and media providers
  • Embedded content services
  • External research sources
  • Advertising and analytics providers
  • Other independent websites and platforms

Third-party websites and services are operated independently.

We do not control and are not responsible for their availability, security, accuracy, content, privacy practices, or terms.

Your interactions with third-party services may be governed by their own terms and policies.

A reference, hyperlink, embed, integration, or technical connection does not necessarily imply an endorsement, partnership, sponsorship, or affiliation.

17. Advertising and commercial content

Individual publishers within the Narric network may display advertisements, sponsored content, affiliate links, or other commercial material.

Where required by applicable law, advertising and sponsored content should be appropriately identified.

Third-party advertisements, products, services, and offers are provided by their respective advertisers or operators.

Narric does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, legality, availability, safety, or suitability of third-party advertisements or commercial offerings.

Any transaction between you and an independent third party is governed by the terms applicable to that transaction.

Narric is not responsible for disputes involving independent third-party transactions except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

Advertising and tracking practices may vary between publisher websites and are addressed in their respective privacy policies.

18. Privacy and personal information

Our collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of personal information are described in the Narric Privacy Policy.

Privacy Policy

Individual publisher websites may provide additional privacy information concerning their own operations and audience-facing features.

Privacy inquiries regarding Narric or publishers in the Narric network may be directed to [email protected].

Your use of the Service remains subject to applicable privacy and data-protection laws.

19. Service availability and changes

We may add, modify, suspend, restrict, replace, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, subject to applicable law.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Any particular feature will remain available
  • Any publisher website will remain operational indefinitely
  • Every article or page will remain published
  • All content or data will be permanently preserved
  • Automated publishing processes will operate without interruption
  • The Service will operate identically across all browsers, devices, or platforms

We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, change infrastructure, impose reasonable usage restrictions, or suspend services where necessary.

We may also add, restructure, discontinue, or transfer publishers within the network, subject to applicable legal obligations.

20. Security and abuse prevention

We may implement security and abuse-prevention measures intended to protect Narric, its users, infrastructure, publishers, and third parties.

These may include:

  • Access controls
  • Rate limiting
  • Authentication protections
  • Automated abuse detection
  • Request monitoring
  • Security logging
  • Restrictions on suspicious activity
  • Temporary or permanent access blocking

We may investigate suspected unauthorized access, abusive requests, attempts to interfere with our systems, or other conduct that threatens the Service.

Security-related information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms guarantees that every security threat can be prevented.

21. Restriction and termination

We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Service where we reasonably believe that:

  • These Terms have been violated
  • Activity presents a material legal, security, or operational risk
  • Administrative access is being used without authorization
  • The Service is being used for fraudulent or abusive purposes
  • Activity interferes with Narric's infrastructure or operations
  • Restriction is required by law or a valid legal request

Where appropriate, we may block access, revoke permissions, preserve relevant records, or take other reasonable enforcement measures.

You may stop using publicly accessible portions of the Service at any time.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including those relating to intellectual property, submitted materials, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law.

22. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Narric makes no express or implied warranties concerning:

  • Accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of content
  • Availability, continuity, performance, or security
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Merchantability
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy of automatically generated or processed information
  • Accuracy or availability of third-party sources
  • Continued availability of individual articles or publisher websites
  • Uninterrupted operation of automated publishing systems
  • Outcomes resulting from reliance on published information

Automated editorial content and third-party source material may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.

Your use of and reliance on the Service are at your own risk, subject to applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, consumer protections, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

23. Limitation of liability

Subject to the mandatory protections described below, and only to the extent permitted by applicable law, Narric and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers seek to exclude liability for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential losses arising from or related to the Service.

This includes loss or damage arising from:

  • Inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unavailable information
  • Errors or omissions in editorial or automatically generated content
  • Reliance on third-party sources or published material
  • Service interruptions, technical errors, or security incidents
  • Unauthorized access or misuse
  • Loss of access to content or administrative services
  • Changes to or removal of published content
  • Third-party websites, advertisements, products, or services
  • Actions taken in response to abuse, security threats, or legal complaints

Where a monetary limitation is lawful and enforceable, Narric's total aggregate contractual liability for claims arising from or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of:

  • The amount you paid directly to Narric for the relevant Service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
  • 100 Canadian dollars (CAD $100).

These limitations apply only to the extent they are lawful and enforceable. In particular, they do not exclude or limit liability for bodily or moral injury, or liability for material injury caused by intentional or gross fault, where prohibited by Québec law. They do not prevent remedies for infringement of privacy, intellectual property, or other rights where liability cannot lawfully be restricted.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits mandatory legal rights, remedies, statutory warranties, or protections, including applicable consumer-protection rights.

24. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, and where this obligation is lawful and enforceable, you agree to indemnify Narric and its owners, operators, employees, and contractors for reasonable losses and expenses resulting directly from your unlawful or intentional misuse of the Service, including:

  • Your misuse of the Service
  • Material you submit without the necessary rights or authorization
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of applicable law
  • Your infringement of another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights
  • Fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or unauthorized activity carried out by you
  • Unauthorized access to or interference with Narric systems

This obligation does not apply to claims caused by Narric's own wrongful conduct or to circumstances in which such indemnification is prohibited by applicable law. It does not require you to assume Narric's independent legal duties or waive rights and protections that cannot lawfully be waived.

25. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when our services, publishing operations, practices, technologies, or legal obligations change.

Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date.

When changes are material, we will provide any advance notice, choice, or opportunity to withdraw that applicable law requires. Additional notice may be provided through the Service or another appropriate communication channel.

Unless otherwise stated and subject to applicable notice requirements, updated Terms take effect on the effective date shown.

Where legally sufficient, continued use after properly notified changes may indicate acceptance. Changes requiring affirmative consent do not become binding merely because a visitor continues to browse the website.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

26. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted or modified to reflect its intended purpose as closely as legally possible.

The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

27. No waiver

If Narric does not enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.

A waiver is effective only if expressly made in writing by Narric.

28. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.

Narric may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, sale of assets, change of control, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law.

29. Entire agreement

These Terms, the Narric Privacy Policy, any applicable publisher-specific terms, and any additional terms presented for particular services or features constitute the agreement between you and Narric concerning the Service.

They replace prior agreements or understandings concerning the same subject matter, except where a separate written agreement expressly applies.

30. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Subject to any rights or protections that cannot lawfully be waived, disputes relating to these Terms or the Service will be submitted to courts located in the Province of Québec.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer or other person from relying on mandatory rights or bringing a claim before a court or authority that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
